Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles initiated a heartfelt program in collaboration with TV9 Network for Raksha Bandhan. The initiative, titled ‘Raksha Ka Bandhan,’ saw female employees from the Durga Line at Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant creating special rakhis dedicated to truck drivers.
The women employees are involved in the creation of India’s safest trucks, equipped with advanced safety features such as crash-tested cabins and ADAS. For these women, trucks represent more than just vehicles; they are a means of livelihood. Each driver is considered a member of their extended family, irrespective of prior interactions.
The rakhis created by these women are not mere threads; they are embodiments of prayers for secure travel and a pledge of care from afar.
The rakhis were transported from Jamshedpur and distributed in various states, including Kalamboli Transport Nagar in Navi Mumbai. Truck drivers were touched by the gesture as rakhis were tied on their wrists. This action provided emotional comfort to the drivers, acknowledging the importance of their relentless journeys on the nation’s highways and emphasizing the value of their safety.
TV9 Network captured every stage of this initiative, from the preparation of the rakhis by the female staff to the drivers’ emotional messages. These stories were presented on TV9’s main broadcast platforms, turning a corporate gesture into a national celebration of unity and connection.
This initiative reaffirmed Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles’ focus on safety and compassion. The campaign served to honor India’s truck drivers, who work diligently to advance the nation and ensure that goods are delivered everywhere. Drivers were reminded of the importance of their journeys, safety, and bonds of care.
