Tata Motors is celebrating the festive season with compelling offers designed to benefit consumers. The company is leveraging both recent GST rate cuts and offering additional discounts. Customers have the opportunity to save up to ₹2 lakh, with the final savings amount depending on the specific car model. These offers are available until September 30, 2025.
SUV models from Tata, including the Nexon, Safari, and Harrier, are offering the most significant savings, potentially reaching ₹2 lakh. This includes the combined impact of GST reductions and Tata’s exclusive festive promotions. For example, the Nexon benefits from approximately ₹1.55 lakh in GST savings, plus an additional ₹45,000 through the festive offer. The Safari and Harrier are also highly advantageous, with potential savings around ₹1.9 lakh each.
Hatchbacks such as the Altroz are also part of the savings initiative. The Altroz sees a total price reduction of approximately ₹1.76 lakh due to GST savings. The Tiago, Tigor, and Punch also offer considerable savings. The Tiago provides savings of up to ₹1.2 lakh, while the Tigor offers benefits up to ₹1.11 lakh.
The introduction of the new GST 2.0 on September 22, 2025, brought about price reductions for cars and SUVs in India. Small petrol/LPG/CNG cars (up to 1200cc engine and 4000mm length) and diesel cars (up to 1500cc engine and 4000mm length) now fall under the 18% GST category. Larger SUVs (engine capacity exceeding 1500cc or length exceeding 4000mm) will be taxed at 40% GST.
