The Indian SUV market is set for a wave of new launches as Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra prepare to introduce updated versions of their popular models. Over the next few months, consumers can expect to see the arrival of the Tata Punch facelift, the Harrier and Safari SUV petrol variants, the updated Thar 3-door, the Bolero Neo, and the Bolero SUVs. The Tata Punch facelift is anticipated to borrow design elements from the Punch EV, including the front grille, bumpers, and headlights. It may also feature redesigned alloy wheels, a new tailgate, and LED tail lamps similar to those found on the Altroz. Interior upgrades could include a new two-spoke steering wheel, a blind spot monitor, an 8-speaker music system, ventilated front seats, and six airbags. The Punch facelift will continue to offer the 1.2-liter NA petrol and CNG engine options. The Harrier and Safari SUVs will soon be available with a new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine, producing 170 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, paired with manual and automatic gearbox options. Mahindra is also planning to refresh its SUV lineup. The Bolero and Bolero Neo facelifts have been spotted during testing, revealing changes to the design and features. The 2025 Bolero Neo might come with a larger 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will likely retain the 1.5-liter mHawk diesel engine. The Thar facelift will maintain the existing engine options. Spy shots suggest updates such as a new grille, alloy wheels, and LED lighting. Inside, it could feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, grab handles, and power window switches. The existing 2.0-liter turbo petrol, 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and 2.2-liter turbo diesel engines will be carried over.
