A SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru saw an unusual event unfold when a passenger was trapped inside the airplane restroom for the duration of the flight. While the airline has apologized and offered a refund, the incident has drawn widespread attention and amusement.
The trapped passenger was eventually rescued after the flight landed in Bengaluru. Ground crew and engineers promptly addressed the situation and opened the locked lavatory door.
The incident happened on a flight that took off from Mumbai with a delay of two hours. A passenger, after entering the lavatory, found themselves unable to exit due to a malfunctioning lock, resulting in a mid-air crisis.
As the crew struggled to open the door, they decided to communicate with the passenger by sliding a handwritten note under the door. The note asked the passenger to stay put on the toilet seat until the plane landed in Bengaluru.
Social media users quickly shared the note, and it went viral. Netizens found the situation amusing, with many commenting on the crew’s handwriting.
The flight landed at approximately 3:45 AM in Bengaluru. Engineers then opened the door. SpiceJet issued an apology to the passenger for the inconvenience.
