A bizarre situation unfolded on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru when a passenger became stuck inside the aircraft’s restroom for the entire flight. The airline has issued an apology and is said to have offered a refund following the unusual ordeal, which has captured the attention of the public.
After the plane landed in Bengaluru, the passenger was finally released when ground staff and engineers were able to open the jammed toilet door. The incident reportedly occurred on a Monday night flight that was delayed by two hours, eventually departing from Mumbai at 2:10 AM.
The passenger, who was sitting in seat 14D, found themselves trapped in the restroom shortly after the plane took off. The door lock malfunctioned, causing considerable distress. Crew members tried to resolve the issue but were unable to open the door. In an attempt to comfort the passenger, the crew wrote a note and passed it under the door, advising the person to stay put until the plane landed.
The handwritten note was shared on social media and quickly went viral. Many people found the note humorous, and some even complimented the penmanship. The flight landed in Bengaluru at about 3:45 AM. The airline has since apologized to the passenger for the incident.
