Skoda is implementing price reductions of up to ₹3.3 lakh on its cars following a GST reduction. Car prices have been adjusted under GST 2.0. Several automakers, such as Tata, Hyundai, Mahindra, and Audi, have already declared their new pricing, effective from September 22. Under the new GST framework, small cars will be taxed at 18%, while larger vehicles will be subject to a flat 40% tax, which is a decrease from the previous 45-50% rate, inclusive of cess.
Skoda India has confirmed that it will extend the full benefit of these changes to its customers, leading to price reductions of up to ₹3.3 lakh. Furthermore, the company is providing special festive discounts of up to ₹2.5 lakh for bookings made before September 21. The Skoda Kodiaq currently starts at ₹46.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Consequently, this car will be available at a discount of up to ₹3.3 lakh. Nonetheless, the festive offer is applicable only to customers who book their cars before September 21.
