Skoda, the Czech Republic-based automaker, is celebrating its 25th anniversary in India. To mark the occasion, the company unveiled a special edition of its Kyak SUV on Monday, alongside special variants of the Kushaq and Slavia. The Kyak special edition is available on the Signature+ and Prestige 2 models, with cosmetic enhancements to distinguish it. The exclusivity is further enhanced by limiting availability to just 500 units of each special variant.
The standard Kyak model is offered in 11 variants, with prices ranging from ₹8.25 lakh to ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition, in Signature+ trim, is priced at ₹11.25 lakh, while the Prestige variant costs ₹12.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The new special edition includes design and feature upgrades over the standard model. This limited edition comes with a complimentary accessories kit, including a 360-degree camera system, puddle lamps, and 25th-anniversary badging on the B-pillar. Customers can select from seven exterior color options for the limited-edition variant.
Notable features of the Kyak special edition include a 10-inch touchscreen display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic air conditioning, power-folding wing mirrors, stylish dash inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with chrome accents, front USB Type-C ports, a rear center armrest, in-car connectivity features, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, keyless entry and start functionality, an auto-dimming IRVM, a sunroof, 6-way power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, and a wireless phone charger.
The special edition retains the 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, generating 115 bhp, found in the regular model. It offers a choice between a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The manual variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds, while the automatic takes 11.69 seconds. The claimed fuel efficiency is 19.68 km/liter for the manual version and 19.05 km/liter for the automatic.
