The Skoda Kushaq, introduced in 2021, competes in the mid-size SUV market against the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Skoda is preparing to launch the Kushaq facelift, which will include significant exterior and interior upgrades. The anticipated launch timeframe is set for late 2025 or early 2026, according to reports.
A key enhancement for the facelifted Kushaq will be a panoramic sunroof, a notable upgrade from the existing single-pane sunroof available on the top trim. Furthermore, the new model is expected to incorporate Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), similar to those found in the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate. The inclusion of features like ventilated front seats, updated seat upholstery, and revised trim details is also anticipated.
Cosmetic enhancements are likely to be implemented on the new Kushaq. These may include updated headlamps, a redesigned front grille with thinner vertical slats, a more angular air dam design, and a repositioned fog lamp cluster. New black-out alloy wheels will refresh the side profile. The rear of the vehicle could feature sleek LED tail lamps joined by a light bar, along with a subtly revised bumper.
Under the hood, the engine options are likely to remain unchanged. The SUV will probably offer two turbocharged petrol engines: a 1.0-liter TSI engine producing 115 bhp and a 1.5-liter TSI unit generating 150 bhp. Transmission choices will consist of a 6-speed manual (1.0-liter variant), a 6-speed torque converter automatic (1.0-liter variant), and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (1.5-liter variant).
