The Skoda Octavia RS is slated for an Indian market launch, with the date officially set for October 17th. Prospective buyers can begin booking the performance-focused sedan from October 6th. Several sightings of the car, undisguised, have fueled anticipation. These glimpses, including instances from a TV shoot, showcase the vehicle’s design.
The Octavia RS sports a dynamic look, highlighted by its LED matrix headlights and DRLs, as previewed in teasers. It also features 18-inch alloy wheels and distinctive body contours. Inside, the car offers sports seats, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and additional features.
The vehicle’s performance is driven by a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine, the 2025 Skoda Octavia RS generates 216 hp and a peak torque of 370 Nm. Power is delivered through a seven-speed DSG transmission to the front wheels. Unlike some markets, the Indian version, based on the UK model, will not include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC).
Performance-wise, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, with a top speed reaching 250 km/h. The RS version has a ride height 15mm lower than the standard model, underscoring its sporty nature. The exhaust system has been redesigned compared to standard variants, enhancing the vehicle’s overall aggressive aesthetic.
With an estimated price of approximately ₹50 lakh due to its CBU import status, the Skoda Octavia RS will be a direct competitor to the Volkswagen Golf GTI in the Indian market.
