Car enthusiasts and potential buyers should mark their calendars for September 2025, as the month is set to be filled with new car launches. Anticipation builds with approximately five new cars slated to arrive before the festive season, making it an opportune time for car purchases. The launch parade will begin with Maruti, followed by the introduction of VinFast’s vehicles. Here’s a preview of the vehicles expected to launch in September 2025.
Maruti is preparing to unveil a new SUV manufactured in India, which will slot between the Brezza and Grand Vitara. It is expected to be available through Arena showrooms. Possible names for this model include Escudo, Victorious, or Saber. The SUV is likely based on Suzuki’s Global C platform but will feature a longer wheelbase and a more spacious cabin.
VinFast, the Vietnamese EV manufacturer, will make its Indian debut with the VF6. The mass production of the VF6 recently began at VinFast’s plant in Tamil Nadu. This SUV will be offered in two variants, with six exterior color options and two interior themes, which will be dependent on the chosen variant.
In addition to the VF6, VinFast plans to launch the VF7, another electric SUV. Both the VF6 and VF7 were initially showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in early 2025. The VF7 will be available in three variants with a selection of six exterior colors and two interior design themes.
Launched in 2020, the Mahindra Thar 3-door model has seen only minor updates, but a facelift is expected. Mahindra is preparing to introduce a refreshed Thar in September 2025, equipped with updated design and features, similar to the Thar Rox. This will include circular LED headlights, new alloy wheels, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch full-digital driver display, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and TPMS features.
