**Maruti’s Mid-Size SUV Offering:**
Maruti Suzuki is set to introduce the Escudo, a new mid-size SUV, on September 3. Based on the same platform as the Grand Vitara, the Escudo will be a larger model and will include a strong hybrid engine option. Sales will be conducted through the Arena dealership network, with an expected starting price around ₹10 lakh.
**Mahindra Thar’s Refresh:**
Mahindra’s popular off-road Thar (3-door) will receive a facelift, likely launching in the first week of September. This update will include exterior enhancements and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The engine choices are expected to remain the same, but the SUV will feature updated technology and design.
**Citroen’s New Offering:**
Citroen India has opened pre-bookings for the Basalt X, with a token amount of ₹21,000. The launch is expected in mid-September. This model will feature new color schemes and advanced features, with the 1.2L turbo petrol engine and both manual and automatic gearbox options.
**Volvo’s New Entry-Level EV:**
The Volvo EX30 is set to become the brand’s most affordable electric car. It will be equipped with a 69 kWh battery pack, capable of a 480 km (WLTP) range. The car will support 150 kW DC fast charging, enabling a full charge in just 25 minutes.
