The Kia Seltos is undergoing a comprehensive refresh, with spy shots revealing design alterations. The test vehicle, although camouflaged, provided glimpses of new headlights and a revamped front end. The updated Seltos is anticipated to launch early next year. Exterior enhancements include design elements reminiscent of the EV9 and Syros, an extended wheelbase, and a redesigned front fascia with a concave grill and updated bumper. The rear will likely feature a continuous light bar. Interior changes are also on the cards, with the cabin expected to incorporate design cues from Kia’s premium vehicles. The engine options are expected to remain largely unchanged, featuring a 115Hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol, a 160Hp 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and a 116Hp 1.5-liter diesel engine. However, a new hybrid powertrain is expected, potentially using the 1.5-liter NA petrol engine for electrification. The refreshed Seltos will go up against the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Tata Curvv. The launch of the new Hyundai Creta is planned for 2027, but the Kia Seltos facelift might arrive sooner. A hybrid Seltos launch could pave the way for a similar hybrid Creta.
