Royal Enfield frequently introduces special, limited-edition vehicles to showcase its design and engineering capabilities. A recent development is a one-off flat tracker based on the Guerilla 450 platform. These special builds often serve as a testing ground for future innovations.
The FT450 flat tracker has been created for Royal Enfield’s 2025 slide school program, in partnership with Dirt Craft and flat track champion Gary Birtwistle. The bike utilizes a liquid-cooled 450cc Sherpa engine, also found in the Guerilla 450. To enhance its performance on the track, the bike features a stripped-down chassis, flat track bodywork, 19-inch rims with custom hubs, and refined ergonomics.
Enhancements to the FT450 include a new full exhaust system and a Fuel X tuning module. These modifications are anticipated to increase the bike’s performance, resulting in approximately 40 bhp and 29.5 lb-ft of torque (though official figures are pending). While the flat tracker itself is not intended for public sale, Royal Enfield will offer a GMA accessory pack styled after the flat tracker for the standard Guerilla model. This accessory pack, available overseas, includes items such as a bench seat, sump and radiator guards, and bar-end mirrors, and is priced at 697 pounds.
Alongside the flat tracker, Royal Enfield has also provided a sneak peek of a new Twin Cylinder Himalayan model. This new model will use the 648cc air/oil-cooled motor found in the Interceptor. The Himalayan was observed during testing in the Himalayas alongside an electric bike, with the new engine indicating its production readiness.
