The Renault Kiger facelift is set to launch on August 24th, aiming to be a key player in the compact SUV segment. This new iteration of the Kiger boasts cosmetic and feature enhancements. Teaser images reveal design updates like a C-shaped taillight, a shark fin antenna, and a sporty rear bumper. The exterior will also include a fresh, eye-catching green color. The front of the car will be revamped with a new grille housing the Renault logo, with the existing split headlamps. The side profile is expected to maintain its design, including features like dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, a sloping roofline, robust body cladding, roof rails, and squared-off wheel arches. Mechanically, the Kiger facelift is likely to retain its current engine options, including a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine. The naturally aspirated engine produces 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque, while the turbo engine generates 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque. Transmission choices, including a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic, are expected to remain. A CNG option will be offered as a retrofit at dealerships. Inside, the updated Kiger will likely incorporate a new touchscreen infotainment system, a refreshed cabin design, and new seat upholstery. Existing features like the 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless charging, automatic climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering controls, and ambient lighting are expected to be retained. Pricing for the new Kiger is anticipated to be similar to the current model, placing it competitively in the market against rivals such as the Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Maruti Brezza.
