In anticipation of the new GST 2.0 implementation, Bajaj Auto, a leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has decided to reduce the prices of its vehicles. This price cut will result in savings of ₹20,000 to ₹24,000 for consumers. The price reduction applies to both Bajaj and KTM motorcycles, considering KTM is a Bajaj subsidiary. The updated, lower prices will be effective from September 22, coinciding with the nationwide rollout of the revised GST rates.
The government’s initiative is designed to facilitate vehicle purchases for numerous families and small businesses that rely on cost-effective and dependable transportation. Bajaj Auto Limited’s Executive Director, Rakesh Sharma, lauded the government’s move to lower GST on two and three-wheeled vehicles, calling it a courageous step that would stimulate demand and fortify the industry. The company expects prices to further decrease as the festive season approaches.
