Oppo is gearing up to introduce its Reno 14 Series in India, intensifying competition in the smartphone market. The series, which was first launched in China in May, will be available for purchase on Amazon and Flipkart. The Indian version of the phone is expected to feature the Mediatek Dimensity 8450 processor. It will also incorporate a 50MP main camera and AI tools to enhance its performance.
The Pro model will feature a substantial 6200 mAh battery. The official launch date is set for July 3, with a virtual event streamed on Oppo’s social media channels at 12 PM IST. Oppo has been teasing the upcoming launch through social media posts and a dedicated microsite.
Similar to the Chinese model, the Indian version of the Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G is expected to have a quad-camera setup. This includes a 50MP OV50E 1.55-inch sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP OV50D sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The Oppo Reno 14 will use the Mediatek Dimensity 8450 chipset and include a 6,200 mAh battery, supporting 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The other variant of the phone is expected to have a triple-camera setup. This setup will include a 50MP Sony IMX883 sensor with a 1.95-inch pixel size and OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. Both versions will include a 5MP front camera with autofocus. The phones will also feature AI-based features such as Voice Enhancer, AI Editor 2.0, AI Recompose, AI Perfect Shot, AI Style Transfer, and AI Live Photo 2.0.
While the prices are yet to be announced by Oppo, reports suggest that the Indian prices will match those of the Chinese models. The Reno 14 5G was launched in China in May at CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs 33,200) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model, while the Reno 14 Pro 5G is priced at CNY 3,499 (about Rs 41,500) for the base 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. The Reno 14 series will have its global launch on July 1 at 6 PM.
