Ola Electric, a prominent player in the Indian electric scooter market, has unveiled a teaser showcasing its upcoming electric scooters. The company plans to launch these new models at its annual Sankalp 2025 event. This event will take place at Ola’s Gigafactory located in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Along with the scooter launches, the event will also provide insights into the company’s product and technology roadmap, along with the unveiling of its new MoveOS 6 software for electric two-wheelers.
The teaser highlights two different scooter designs, one with a sporty design and the other seemingly family-oriented. The sporty scooter has sharp lines, pronounced edges, and a stylish seat. It also features angled pillion grab handles that amplify its sporty appeal. The design includes a compact front section and a single-piece grab handle.
A key element observed in the teaser is a small camera on the front of the scooter. This suggests that the upcoming Ola e-scooters will be equipped with features like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), enhancing safety and improving the riding experience.
Ola Electric has announced the introduction of MoveOS 6. Following the previous year’s MoveOS 5, which incorporated a range of safety features, MoveOS 6 will emphasize AI integration. It could incorporate an AI chatbot and a voice assistant to provide users with the ability to engage with their scooters, access information, manage features, and handle navigation and trip functions seamlessly.
The Sankalp 2025 event may also feature the Ola Diamondhead electric motorcycle, a futuristic design under the company’s Moonshot project. Its front section is characterized by a dome shape with an extended LED strip, echoing the style of the Cybertruck.
