TVS is planning to release a new scooter, potentially the TVS X, an enhanced version of the i-Qube, by fiscal year 2026. This new scooter is intended for the global market, with plans for export following domestic production. A recent patent filing in Indonesia has revealed design details of the upcoming scooter, generating anticipation for its future launch.
Based on the design leaks, the new scooter adopts a conventional design aesthetic. The patent images show a traditional headlight setup and grab rails on the sides at the back. The design incorporates familiar features from the i-Qube, such as horizontal LED DRLs and LED indicators.
It is speculated that the battery will be placed under the seat. Other notable features include a tall windscreen, a small glovebox, and a charging port. The front wheel appears larger than the rear, and a mid-mounted motor with a belt drive system suggests a focus on efficiency.
While TVS has not released official information, the presence of a belt drive at the rear suggests the possibility of an EV model. However, it remains uncertain whether the scooter will be an ICE or EV.
