Renault India has launched the Kiger facelift, following a two-week teaser campaign. Prices for the compact SUV start at ₹6.29 lakh and go up to ₹11.29 lakh, maintaining the same price range as the previous model. The outgoing Kiger was available in four trims, while the new version also offers four trims: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion.
The new Kiger’s entry-level price is just marginally higher than its predecessor’s. The top-spec variant is also priced closely to the previous generation’s top model. The Techno CVT and top-spec Turbo manual trims are available at a special introductory price.
Under the hood, the Kiger continues to offer the same engine choices: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 72 hp, available with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 100 hp, which can be paired with a CVT or a 5-speed manual gearbox. The prices for the AMT variants of the naturally aspirated engine are yet to be announced.
Exterior enhancements include a redesigned front bumper, a new Renault logo, updated paint options, revised C-pillar graphics, smoked reverse lights, and new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
The interior remains largely unchanged, but all models now include six airbags as standard, along with ESP, a tire-pressure monitor, and hill-start assist. The top trim also adds ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, automatic headlights and wipers, a wireless charger, and an 8-inch infotainment screen.
A detailed comparison table highlights the specifications and pricing of the Renault Kiger against competitors such as the Tata Altroz, Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20, covering engine specifications, power figures, torque outputs, and transmission options.
