On Independence Day, Mahindra unveiled the Vision S concept, generating excitement about its potential addition to the Mahindra Scorpio lineup, including the Scorpio N and Classic Scorpio. The Vision S joins the X, T, and SXT concepts.
The Vision S showcases a fresh design with LED headlights, an LED-enhanced grille, and the Mahindra logo. The front bumper integrates a radar unit and parking sensors, while roof-mounted lights and pixel-shaped fog lamps distinguish it further. Thick cladding, 19-inch wheels, and side-mounted cameras indicate off-road capabilities and a modern aesthetic.
The rear of the Vision S features inverted tail lamps and a Bolero Neo-inspired reflector unit, with a spare wheel on the tailgate displaying the Vision S branding.
The interior design includes a steering wheel with VISION S lettering and a fully digital driver’s display, suggesting updated graphics. The infotainment system is expected to run Mahindra’s NU UX system, offering wireless smartphone integration. The cabin features dual-tone upholstery, premium seats, a panoramic sunroof, and strategically placed grab handles.
The Vision S utilizes Mahindra’s NU-IQ platform, which can accommodate SUVs from 3,990 mm to 4,320 mm in length and supports various powertrains, including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric options. It is designed for both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.
The presence of a fuel cap suggests an internal combustion engine version could be offered, possibly with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Features like variable-ratio steering are expected to improve handling.
