Mahindra is preparing a major product offensive for the upcoming festive season, with plans to launch three new SUVs. The rollout will commence with updates to the Bolero Neo and the standard Bolero, both scheduled for an October 6th release. Soon after, the facelifted Thar 3-door model will be introduced. In addition to these, Mahindra is also working on a refresh for its XUV700 range, with an expected launch early next year.
The Bolero Neo, previously known as the TUV300, is getting its second facelift. This update will include a redesigned grille, subtle bumper revisions, and minor interior enhancements. Top-spec trims are likely to feature upgraded upholstery and additional features. Dealers suggest that Mahindra has adjusted the suspension for improved ride comfort, and the engine is expected to remain the same.
Alongside the Bolero Neo, the standard Bolero will also receive some updates. While specific details are scarce, the changes are expected to include minor cosmetic alterations to the exterior and some interior refinements to modernize the vehicle. The Bolero has been a stalwart for Mahindra for over two decades, maintaining its popularity, especially in smaller cities and rural markets.
The focus will then shift to the Thar 3-door facelift. The second-generation Thar, launched in October 2020, has exceeded 2.59 lakh unit sales and has proven extremely successful. The Thar 3-door has consistently accounted for a significant portion of the overall Thar family sales, even with the Thar Roxx already in the market. The new facelift version will take cues from its larger counterpart, featuring a premium cabin, soft-touch materials, and a larger infotainment screen in the higher trims. Exterior design modifications are not yet known, but the engine options are expected to remain unchanged.
