Royal Enfield is actively testing its electric vehicle (EV) prototypes in the challenging terrain of Ladakh. The Flying Flea, along with the Himalayan E, has been observed undergoing trials. The testing is crucial for assessing how the batteries perform in freezing temperatures.
Images of the C6 and F6 test mules show them in similar environments, marking the first time they have been tested in India. The Flying Flea duo was first presented at EICMA a year prior.
The C6 resembles the original Flying Flea concept, while the F6 showcases a scrambler design. The F6 boasts distinctive features such as higher handlebars, an off-set instrument cluster, and a high fender. Both bikes are built on the L Platform and incorporate off-road tires and spoke wheels. The design emphasizes lightweight, compact, and urban-friendly characteristics.
Royal Enfield has not yet disclosed battery details, yet assures customers of lively performance and a premium finish. The Flying Flea’s market launch is expected in early 2026, potentially starting with the C6. While the focus has been on international markets, India will also see the availability of these premium motorcycles, with pricing projected to be between the 450CC and 650CC price points.
