The Kia Seltos is undergoing a comprehensive update, with test mules recently captured showcasing forthcoming design changes. While camouflaged, the test vehicle revealed redesigned headlights and a revised front fascia, indicating a refreshed look. The revamped Seltos is anticipated to launch in the early part of next year.
Exterior modifications will likely incorporate design elements reminiscent of the EV9 and Syros. The test mule exhibited traditional SUV characteristics, highlighted by an extended wheelbase. Key enhancements include a concave grille positioned between the headlights and updated fog light housings. The rear of the vehicle is expected to feature new design features, potentially incorporating a continuous bar light, as is common in the current automotive landscape.
Furthermore, the interior is expected to undergo a redesign, with the dashboard and interior receiving styling elements borrowed from other premium Kia models.
Kia is anticipated to continue offering a similar range of engine options for the updated Seltos. The engine lineup will likely include a 115Hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol variant, a 160Hp 1.5-liter turbo petrol version, and a 116Hp 1.5-liter diesel engine. In addition, Kia India is considering the introduction of a new hybrid powertrain. It is possible that the 1.5-liter NA petrol engine will be electrified. The Seltos will compete with other SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara and Tata Curvv.
