Indian consumers are increasingly drawn to SUVs that offer both safety and premium features. The Hyundai Tucson is a prime example, having earned its reputation through a blend of performance, luxury, and impressive safety ratings. Now, the company is offering a compelling incentive to purchase the SUV, with significant discounts and tax benefits available throughout September.
Significant price reductions are available on the Tucson. The petrol variant receives a direct discount of ₹70,000, while the diesel variant benefits from a ₹1 lakh reduction. Furthermore, tax cuts under GST reforms provide an additional discount of ₹2,39,303 to customers. Depending on the specific variant, buyers could potentially save over ₹2.30 lakh in total. Consequently, the starting ex-showroom price of the Tucson will be approximately ₹27.31 lakh.
The Hyundai Tucson is equipped with a range of engine options. The first is a 2.0-liter petrol engine that produces 154 bhp and 192 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The second is a 2.0-liter diesel engine, which offers 184 bhp and 416 Nm of torque, and comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both engines are engineered to provide a smooth driving experience and enhanced highway performance.
In terms of safety, the car boasts a 5-star rating. In the recent Bharat NCAP crash test, it achieved a 5-star rating for both adult passenger safety and child occupant protection. The Tucson scored 30.84 out of 32 in the adult safety category and 42 out of 49 in child occupant protection.
