The Indian automotive market is poised for a surge in activity over the next three months, with several new models poised to enter the showrooms. The sub-4 meter SUV segment will witness launches from Hyundai, Renault, and Tata, with plans to introduce the new-generation Venue, updated Kiger, and Punch facelift.
The launch of the new Renault Kiger facelift is set for August 24th, while the third-generation Hyundai Venue is slated to go on sale from October 24th. Although the launch date for the new Tata Punch facelift has not been announced, it is anticipated to arrive just before the Diwali festivities.
Renault Kiger Facelift
The new Kiger will sport a slightly refreshed rear profile, as revealed by official teasers. The compact SUV is expected to receive minor interior and exterior upgrades. It will retain its existing 1.0-liter naturally aspirated and turbo petrol engines. Similar to the current model, the CNG option will be offered as a retrofit. The interior of the 2025 Renault Kiger could showcase a new freestanding touchscreen, refreshed seat upholstery, and new trims. Most of the cosmetic changes are expected to be concentrated at the front.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue
The new-generation Hyundai Venue, internally known as QU2i, is set for significant design and interior enhancements. Updated features such as ventilated front seats, a larger display screen, a panoramic sunroof, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) could be included in the updated feature set. The 2025 Hyundai Venue will draw design inspiration from the Creta and Alcazar. It will be available with the current 1.0-liter turbo, 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol, and 1.5-liter diesel engine options.
Tata Punch Facelift
Both Tata Punch and Punch EV models are scheduled for a mid-life update in October 2025. Based on spy photos, the refreshed Punch will showcase a new front grille, slim headlamps, and a new LED DRL signature. It is also likely to feature redesigned alloy wheels. Inside, the compact SUV is expected to adopt a new two-spoke steering wheel from the recently launched Altroz facelift, a larger touchscreen display, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a touch-based HVAC control panel. The 2025 Tata Punch will continue to use its current engine configuration.
