Vida, the electric two-wheeler arm of Hero MotoCorp, has rolled out several new customer-focused services. This move, timed just before the festive season in India, comprises a buyback plan, extended warranty options, and unlimited fast-charging perks. These offerings aim to lower the total cost of ownership and foster long-term customer confidence. The Assured Buyback program lets customers get up to 67.5% of the ex-showroom price back after three years. This provides an opportunity for customers to transition to newer models.
Vida is also offering an extended warranty covering up to 5 years or 75,000 km, which includes protection for more than 11 essential components. Additionally, a battery warranty is provided, valid for 5 years or 60,000 km, with the possibility of extending this warranty for battery replacement and degradation protection, ensuring lasting performance.
The brand has introduced Vida Edge, a subscription service for connectivity and fast charging. Customers will gain access to 3,600 charging stations and over 40 connected features such as live tracking, riding statistics, and over-the-air (OTA) updates. Furthermore, Vida is providing a 24/7 roadside assistance package that covers the whole country, including services for tire punctures, battery issues, and mechanical malfunctions.
Demand for the scooters has been increasing, with Hero selling over 10,000 e-scooters in July, and exceeding that performance in August. Thanks to the strong interest in the new Vida VX2 Go and Plus scooters, the company’s market share in the electric two-wheeler (e-2W) segment has risen to 13 percent. Hero is now on track to sell over 1 lakh electric two-wheelers annually for the first time.
