Hero MotoCorp continues to strengthen its position in the 125cc motorcycle market with the introduction of a new single-seat variant of the Xtreme 125R. This launch follows the recent unveiling of the Glamour X, a 125cc bike equipped with cruise control. The new single-seat Xtreme 125R is priced at ₹1 lakh, offering a middle ground between the split-seat IBS (₹98,425) and ABS (₹1.02 lakh) versions.
The Hero Xtreme 125R competes with other Hero models like the Glamour, Glamour X, Glamour XTEC, and Super Splendor XTEC within the 125cc segment. The Xtreme 125R distinguishes itself with a sporty aesthetic, further defined by its original split-seat design. The single-seat option offers a different aesthetic, emphasizing comfort for the rider.
The engine remains unchanged, featuring a 124.7cc single-cylinder unit. This engine delivers 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. This new variant is a compelling choice for riders prioritizing affordability and comfort. Safety features include single-channel ABS and a striking design, including a sporty tank and LED headlights. The Glamour X, while offering ride-by-wire and cruise control, presents a contrasting option to the Xtreme 125R.
