To mark a decade of Nexa, Maruti Suzuki has launched the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq edition. This special edition, built on the popular Grand Vitara model, is designed to offer a premium styling experience. It is aimed at customers who prioritize style in their driving experience.
The Grand Vitara has been a successful model for Maruti Suzuki, reaching 300,000 sales in under three years.
Design Highlights:
Based on the Alpha Plus strong hybrid variant, the Phantom Blaq edition retains the fundamental design of the mid-size SUV while incorporating unique cosmetic enhancements. These include a distinctive matte black exterior finish, an all-black interior scheme (similar to the standard Grand Vitara), faux leather upholstery, and elegant champagne gold accents.
Feature Highlights:
The new edition is equipped with the same features as the Grand Vitara Alpha Plus strong hybrid. This includes ventilated front seats with faux leather trim and a panoramic sunroof. The cabin also features a 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a high-quality Clarion sound system.
Safety features encompass a 360-degree view camera and a head-up display (HUD). Suzuki Connect remote access is also available. Safety is further enhanced with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Hill Hold Control, reverse parking sensors, 3-point seat belts with reminders, and more.
Engine and Performance:
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Phantom Black edition utilizes a 1.5-liter self-charging hybrid powertrain, termed the ‘Intelligent Hybrid System,’ coupled with an e-CVT gearbox. The combined output of this powertrain is 114 bhp. The engine contributes 91 bhp and 122 Nm of torque, while the electric motor provides 79 bhp and 141 Nm of torque. Maruti claims a fuel efficiency figure of 27.97 km/liter for the strong hybrid version of the Grand Vitara.
