Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, also known as ‘King Khan’, is making headlines. He has recently received his first National Film Award, a milestone in his 33-year career. Beyond his acting achievements, Shah Rukh is also recognized as one of Bollywood’s wealthiest actors, with an estimated net worth of 7500 crore rupees, exceeding that of Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Shah Rukh is well-known for his penchant for luxury cars. His current collection boasts numerous high-end vehicles, collectively valued at over 30 crore rupees. Interestingly, the first car owned by the man who now commands such a lavish fleet was a humble one.
According to multiple reports, Shah Rukh Khan’s first car was a Maruti Omni, specifically the first-generation model. The Maruti Omni, also known as the Maruti Van, was a microvan produced by Maruti Suzuki. It was originally launched in 1984 as the Maruti Van and was later rebranded as the Omni in 1988.
What Made This Car Special
The Omni featured a 796cc engine derived from the Maruti 800. This vehicle enjoyed considerable popularity in India, particularly for its utility in transporting goods and serving as an ambulance. However, its production ceased in 2019 due to evolving safety standards. A notable characteristic of the Omni was its mid-mounted front engine. Moreover, its rear-wheel-drive system offered ample cabin and cargo space, along with enhanced road grip.

His garage includes vehicles such as the Bugatti Veyron, Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, and Bentley Continental GT. In addition, he owns a BMW i8, a Mercedes Benz S500, and a Lexus LM350h.
