BYD is gearing up to introduce the Atto 2 electric SUV in India, expanding its current EV portfolio. The car is currently undergoing testing on Indian roads. The Atto 2 has already been launched in the UK. Based on the features and specifications, the estimated price in India is expected to be ₹35 lakh ex-showroom. This positions the Atto 2 as a direct competitor to the Creta Electric. The expected battery option for the Indian market is a 45 kWh BYD Blade battery pack, which is anticipated to provide a range of up to 463 km based on the WLTP cycle. The Atto 2 is equipped with a FWD motor capable of generating 174 bhp and 290 Nm of torque. This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, with a top speed of 160 km/h. The design includes distinctive features such as ‘Mobius Ring’ LED tail lights, an NFC key, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, aluminum roof rails, electric folding ORVMs, and rain-sensing wipers.
