BMW India will implement a price increase of up to 3% across its entire model range, beginning September 1, 2025. This decision reflects the impact of fluctuating exchange rates between the dollar and the rupee, alongside increased costs associated with vehicle component manufacturing, transportation, and supply chain disruptions. These economic pressures have collectively led to adjustments in the final prices of BMW vehicles.
The 2 Series Gran Coupe starts at ₹46.90 lakh, while the high-end XM Performance SUV reaches up to ₹2.60 crore (ex-showroom). This forthcoming adjustment represents BMW’s third price increase this year. Earlier hikes were introduced in January and April, resulting in an approximate 10% rise in overall vehicle prices after the combined impact of these three changes.
BMW has achieved robust sales figures during the initial six months of the year, and it aims to sustain this positive performance throughout the latter half. The company’s product portfolio in India includes both locally assembled and fully imported car models. Local assembly operations occur at the company’s Tamil Nadu facility for models such as the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, 3 Series Long Wheelbase, 5 Series Long Wheelbase, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X7, M340i, and iX1 Long Wheelbase. Completely Built-Up (CBU) models, imported entirely, comprise the i4, i5, i7, i7 M70, iX, Z4 M40i, M2 Coupe, M4 Competition, M4 CS, M5, M8 Competition Coupe, and XM models.
Despite the price adjustments, BMW is also preparing for the launch of new models during the festive season. Financial solutions like EMI options, leasing programs, and buy-back offers will be offered to help customers achieve their premium car aspirations. Customer experience and product offerings will be further enhanced, even amidst the price increases.
