The car that transported Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin together was the Aurus Senat. This vehicle, a high-security limousine, is considered a symbol of luxury and protection. While some reports suggested it was a gift from China, the Aurus Senat is a product of Russia’s NAMI Institute. This armored vehicle offers exceptional safety features. Its body is encased in multi-layered armor composed of steel, ceramics, and other metals, making it resistant to 7.62 mm bullets. It meets Russia’s BR5 and Europe’s VR10 security standards, with thick windows designed to stop even the most powerful firearms. The doors and joints are meticulously designed to prevent the entry of explosives or poisonous gases. The undercarriage and roof are reinforced with special plates to withstand IEDs, grenades, and similar explosive devices. The Senat’s single-piece construction contributes to passenger safety, even in the event of a blast. The car’s engine is a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid, producing 598 hp. Despite its heavy build, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 6 seconds. Its run-flat tires enable continued safe operation at 80 km/h even with a puncture. The fuel tank is constructed from a special polymer, preventing leaks or explosions from bullet impacts. The car incorporates an air purification system to protect against harmful gases and chemical attacks, along with an automatic fire suppression system. The Aurus Senat includes CCTV integration, an intercom system, emergency exits, and an ultra-secure communication network. The price of this vehicle is estimated to be around £275,000 (approximately 3.05 crore rupees).
