The Indian automotive sector is poised for a dynamic 2025, with a wave of new vehicles set to hit the market. The shift towards eco-friendly vehicles and the positive impact of recent GST reforms have fueled consumer interest and boosted sales. As the year progresses, the pace of new car introductions is accelerating. Automakers are gearing up to unveil models equipped with cutting-edge technologies and advanced features. A minimum of eight new cars and SUVs are scheduled to launch on Indian roads before the close of 2025.

The Mahindra Thar Facelift, slated for release in the coming weeks, will inherit design cues and features from the Thar Rocks while retaining its existing engine and transmission options.
The Maruti Victoris, already reaching showrooms prior to its official pricing announcement, marks Maruti Suzuki’s debut with Level-2 ADAS and sets a new standard for safety with its 5-star Bharat NCAP rating. The Victoris will offer a choice of three engine configurations: petrol mild hybrid, strong hybrid, and petrol-CNG.
The Tata Punch Facelift, anticipated in October, will introduce minor design refinements and feature upgrades. The Tata Sierra EV will follow in November, with expectations of adopting the same powertrain as the Harrier EV.
The New-Gen Hyundai Venue will boast substantial exterior and interior revisions while retaining its current engine lineup.
Skoda will re-introduce its performance-focused Octavia RS Sedan, powered by a 265 bhp, 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine. Imported as a CBU, its estimated ex-showroom price is around Rs 50 lakh.
Volkswagen plans to launch the Tayron, a premium 7-seater SUV, before the close of 2025. The official launch date has yet to be disclosed.
MG presented its Majestor SUV at this year’s Bharat Mobility Show. Although the initial plan was for a 2025 launch, the exact timing remains unconfirmed.
