A monumental tribute to one of Bollywood’s most cherished romances unfolded in London as Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol unveiled a bronze statue of Raj and Simran from ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (DDLJ). The unveiling ceremony in Leicester Square celebrated the film’s remarkable 30-year journey since its release in 1995. This historic moment sees DDLJ making its mark as the first Indian film to be honored with a statue in London’s famed ‘Scenes in the Square’ installation.
During the event, Shah Rukh Khan, looking dapper in a black suit, and Kajol, elegant in a blue saree, posed proudly with the statue. The superstar shared glimpses of the occasion on his social media, reflecting on the film’s enduring appeal.
