Serious lapses in healthcare management are evident at the Jamua Community Health Center in Giridih district. The facility’s medical operations are already strained by a lack of qualified MBBS doctors, with CHOs shouldering much of the patient care responsibility. Adding to these woes, laboratory services experienced a major setback recently. On Thursday, December 4th, the absence of a key lab technician further crippled the center’s functionality. Records indicate three lab technicians are employed, but only two were on duty that day. The unexplained absence of Nishant Kumar, one of the lab technicians, points to a severe disregard for established protocols. Hospital administration confirmed his absence, and sources suggest that Mr. Kumar failed to submit any leave application or notification before departing. This incident underscores the gap between government claims of healthcare improvement and the reality on the ground. The Jamua Community Health Center, despite its physical presence, appears to be suffering from a critical lack of medical staff, essential medications, and now, even basic procedural adherence, reflecting poorly on the public health system.
