In Palamu, Deputy Commissioner Sameera S held a public hearing (‘Janata Darbar’) to address the problems faced by local residents. Citizens from various parts of the district brought their concerns to the collectorate, submitting applications outlining their specific challenges. The DC assured the gathered individuals that their issues would be thoroughly investigated and resolved within a fortnight. Among the petitions was a plea from an individual appointed in 2015 on compassionate grounds, whose salary has been halted since 2016. The discrepancy stems from an incorrect birth date entered in his employment records, impacting his livelihood. He urged the DC to reinstate his pay. Other common issues raised included land encroachment, acquisition delays, ration card eligibility, and property-related disputes. The Deputy Commissioner directed relevant departmental officials to expedite solutions for these matters. Furthermore, due to persistent complaints, a dedicated review of the Bishrampur Anchal office’s performance is slated for November 18, targeting pending applications from previous Janata Darbar sessions.
