The wedding of renowned Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal, originally set for November 23rd, remains on hold. The ceremony was postponed on the day itself due to the unexpected illness of Smriti’s father, Srinivas, necessitating his hospitalization in Sangli. Palash Muchhal also experienced a brief health concern requiring medical attention. Although both have recovered and been released from the hospital, a new wedding date is yet to be announced. Social media users observed that Mandhana had cleared many wedding-related content from her Instagram profile, although some casual pictures with Palash remain visible. Recent online chatter suggested a December 7th wedding, but this was promptly refuted by Smriti’s brother, Shravan Mandhana. He informed media outlets that no wedding date has been finalized. “I have no idea about these rumours. As of now, it (the wedding) is still postponed,” Shravan confirmed. Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, conveyed her optimism for the marriage to proceed soon, acknowledging the emotional impact of the unforeseen circumstances. She anticipates the wedding will occur shortly, expressing her eagerness to welcome Smriti. The show of support has been widespread, with actor Suniel Shetty praising Jemimah Rodrigues’s decision to leave the Women’s Big Bash League to support Smriti.
