The highly anticipated wedding of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and singer Palash Muchhal has been overshadowed by a medical emergency and subsequent online rumors. The festivities reportedly came to an immediate standstill when Smriti Mandhana’s father experienced a severe health issue during the wedding proceedings. This unexpected turn of events fueled intense speculation, leading to unsubstantiated accusations of betrayal against Palash Muchhal.
Following the halt in wedding activities, Palash Muchhal was admitted to a Mumbai hospital, reportedly suffering from extreme exhaustion. The gravity of the situation was amplified when Smriti and her family began deleting posts related to the wedding from their social media profiles. Amidst the online storm, Palash’s cousin, Neeti Tak, stepped forward to defend the singer. She emphasized the need for compassion and understanding, stating on social media, “Technology has come far ahead of humans, and people should not form opinions based on rumours. Pray for him.”
Prior to this, on November 25th, Palak Muchhal, Palash’s sister, had appealed for discretion, explaining that the wedding was postponed due to Smriti’s father’s critical health condition. The couple’s wedding date was set for November 23rd, and their pre-wedding celebrations had been widely shared online. The pair had also received well wishes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a congratulatory letter.
