Raipur, November 27, 2025/ Chhattisgarh has achieved a remarkable feat at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025. Chhattisgarh’s pavilion was honored with the prestigious “Special Appreciation Medal” for its outstanding thematic presentation and display. The award was presented at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, where IITF was held from November 14 to 27, 2025.
*This Honor Comes as Chhattisgarh Completes 25 Years*
This achievement comes at a time when Chhattisgarh is completing 25 years of its formation in the year 2025. The pavilion presented Chhattisgarh’s journey in a highly engaging and experiential manner—showcasing all aspects including cultural traditions, tribal heritage, livelihood-based initiatives, good governance, industrial development, tourism, and sustainable development.
*Why Chhattisgarh’s Pavilion Was Special*
• The pavilion effectively showcased the state’s 25-year journey, its achievements, future goals, and the concept of “Nava Chhattisgarh” (New Chhattisgarh). It also prominently featured the transformation happening in Bastar—where improved road connectivity, tourism development, increased tribal livelihood, and peace-based development have opened new opportunities in recent years.
• Traditional craftsmanship, tribal art, local products, cuisine, and tourism presented the soul of Chhattisgarh with a modern touch and authenticity.
• The pavilion prominently highlighted Chhattisgarh’s new Industrial Policy 2024–30, which aims to generate large-scale employment and attract high-level investment.
The exhibition also showcased two major upcoming projects: India’s first AI Data Center Park and Chhattisgarh’s first Semiconductor Plant. Both these projects will create thousands of high-quality employment opportunities for the state’s youth and will place Chhattisgarh in a prominent position on the global map as a technologically advanced, investment-friendly, and future-ready state.
The pavilion saw a significant number of visitors during the fair. Interactive digital displays and GI-tagged Dhokra art, exquisite Kosa silk, and other traditional products greatly attracted the audience. The effective blend of culture, craftsmanship, and storytelling made it one of the most memorable experiences of IITF 2025.
The “Special Appreciation Medal” symbolizes the state’s growing confidence, innovation-driven development, and commitment to a strong economic future. The India International Trade Fair, organized annually by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), is one of the country’s largest and most diverse events. It witnesses participation from states, central ministries, PSUs, MSMEs, artisans, startups, and international participants, making Bharat Mandapam a vibrant platform for India’s culture, trade, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The “Special Appreciation Medal”
This honor has not only strengthened Chhattisgarh’s identity at the national level but also proven that the state is progressing with both its cultural heritage and its modern development model. This achievement of the pavilion is seen as an inspiring step towards Chhattisgarh’s progress, its industries, and the bright future of its youth in the coming years. This award encourages the state to perform even better, innovate, and undertake public welfare development, raising hopes for many more glorious chapters to be written in the times to come.
