Distribution of incentive amount of Rs 10.33 lakh upon completion of skill training
Raipur, November 27, 2025/
As part of the efforts taken by the district administration towards peace, rehabilitation, and self-reliance in Naxal-affected areas, an important initiative was realized today. Under the Naxalite Surrender, Victim Relief and Rehabilitation Policy 2025, a total incentive amount of Rs 10,33,965 was distributed in the form of checks to 79 trainees, trained by the District Skill Development Authority and Livelihood College Narayanpur, upon completion of their skill training.
In a program organized at the District Panchayat meeting hall, the Collector congratulated the surrendered youth for completing training in driving, plumbing, tailoring, and other livelihood-oriented trades. All these trainees belong to the extremely remote and inaccessible areas of the district—Sonpur, Abujhmad, and Kondagaon. Emphasizing the proper utilization of the incentive amount, the Collector said that the funds should be used for essential family needs, children’s education, and agricultural and livelihood-related activities. He stated that after completing the training, everyone should now stay in their villages and pursue farming, house construction, and employment activities according to their skills.
Addressing the women trainees, the Collector inspired them to join self-help groups to expand tailoring work in an organized manner, develop production capacity, and move towards economic empowerment. Simultaneously, he advised the youth who received plumbing training to play an active role in well installation, repair, and water facility-related works in rural areas, so that villages can receive better services. An appeal was also made to be vigilant about the increasing online fraud cases in modern times. He said not to trust any unknown calls, links, or messages and not to share OTP, ATM PIN, or bank-related information with anyone. In any suspicious situation, the advice was to immediately inform the bank or administrative officials.
At the end of the program, checks were distributed to all 79 trainees, and they were encouraged to actively participate in the mainstream and move towards self-reliance. This initiative is a commendable effort by the district administration towards providing a dignified life and economic empowerment to surrendered Naxalites, paving the way for positive change in society. Relevant officials and staff of the district administration were present on this occasion.
