New Delhi -: Sakhi Mandals associated with JSLPS registered an extremely impressive presence at the IITF 2025, held from November 14 to 27, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The goal of the Jharkhand government and JSLPS is for Sakhi Mandal women to become successful entrepreneurs by standing on their own feet. The increasing participation of women in the rural economy is a strong indicator of development and livelihood empowerment.
At the 44th Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, rural women of Jharkhand displayed and sold their handmade food and non-food products under the Palash and Adiva brands. Palash brand products included Ragi/Sesame Laddoos, Ragi Mixtures, Pickles, Arhar Dal, Mustard Oil, etc., while Adiva brand products like traditional silver and oxidized jewelry, Tussar silk sarees, natural beauty products, and Dokra art attracted special attention.
People in Delhi particularly liked Adiva brand jewelry, with jewelry sales exceeding Rs 14.84 lakhs. Among the food products, Ragi and Sesame Laddoos made by women from Simdega’s ‘Kolebira Farmer Producer Company’ were highly appreciated for their taste and quality, and their sales were also notable. Similarly, natural beauty products from Meenu Rakshit of Jamshedpur, Tussar silk from Godda district, and Dokra art from Dumka district were also well-liked by the public.
This national platform provided rural women artisans an opportunity to present their skills, traditions, and products to consumers across the country. During the fair, women entrepreneurs from Jharkhand generated a total business of Rs 30.72 lakhs, reflecting the quality of their products and the growing market demand. Through skill training, market linkages, and entrepreneurship development, JSLPS, Rural Development Department is continuously empowering rural women. As a result of this initiative, 9.82 lakh rural women have emerged as ‘Lakhpati Didis’, giving new direction and momentum to the rural economy.
