Tragedy struck in the Giridih district today as an auto-rickshaw overturned in the Bengabad police station vicinity, leading to a fatality and leaving four individuals with critical injuries. A child is among those injured in the mishap. The accident occurred on the Giridih-Madhupur main road, close to the Dudhi Tand toll plaza.
Reports indicate the auto was en route from Kashitand to Budhai, carrying a family for a religious ceremony. While passing the toll plaza, the driver apparently lost control, causing the auto to flip. Ramchandra Pasi, aged 58 and residing in Machhuar, succumbed to his injuries. The other four passengers were severely hurt and have been hospitalized with the help of the community. Authorities were alerted to the incident and are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.
