Raipur, November 19, 2025/Paddy procurement at support price is continuing smoothly and transparently in Balod district. Elderly farmer Shri Kolhu Ram Sahu from village Nipani of the district expressed his happiness, stating that the system of the government and administration is very good, as a result of which his approximately 80 quintals of paddy have been sold easily. He mentioned that he had completed the harvesting and threshing of his crop before the start of paddy procurement. A day before paddy procurement, with the help of his grandson, he had obtained a token for selling his paddy through the ‘Tumhar Token’ app on his mobile. He said that earlier, getting a token at the society involved a lot of hassle, but now, the great convenience of getting an online token sitting at home through the mobile has been provided, which has proven to be very convenient for elderly people like him.
Elderly farmer Shri Sahu stated that he had taken a token for selling 80 quintals of paddy on November 17, and on that day, he brought his paddy as soon as the procurement center opened. Subsequently, his paddy’s moisture content was measured on time, and sufficient gunny bags were provided. Sufficient staff are available at the procurement center for filling paddy into gunny bags, weighing, stitching, and stacking, through whom his paddy was sold on time. He said that due to this system of the government and administration, the sale of his paddy has been easily ensured on time, for which he is very satisfied. He added that arrangements for seating, drinking water, and toilets are also available for farmers arriving at the paddy procurement center, which he found very convenient for the paddy procurement work. Appreciating the farmer-friendly schemes and decisions, he said that the purchase of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal and the purchase of 21 quintals per acre have made farming very profitable for all farmers. He specially thanked Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for the better implementation of farmer-friendly schemes and expressed gratitude to the government and administration.
