Family members of the late NCP leader Baba Siddique have formally requested the Indian government to expedite the return of gangster Anmol Bishnoi, who has reportedly been removed from the United States. Anmol Bishnoi, brother to notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is wanted in connection with the October murder of Baba Siddique in Bandra. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Victim Information Notification Exchange (DHS-VINE) confirmed Bishnoi’s removal from American soil as of November 18.
Zeeshan Siddique, son of the deceased politician, stated that his family, registered as victims with U.S. authorities, received this crucial update via email. The immediate focus is on ensuring Bishnoi’s repatriation to India. He implored both the central government and the Maharashtra state administration to take decisive action to bring Bishnoi back, facilitate his interrogation, and secure his arrest. Zeeshan underscored the danger Bishnoi poses to the community, noting his alleged involvement in his father’s assassination and other significant criminal acts, such as the targeted shooting at actor Salman Khan’s residence. The family stresses that Anmol Bishnoi’s return is vital for a comprehensive understanding of the conspiracy behind Baba Siddique’s death and the identification of all conspirators.
Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court has sought a detailed response from the Maharashtra government concerning a petition filed by Baba Siddique’s widow, Shehzeen Siddique, demanding an independent investigation into the case. Information gathered by investigators suggests Anmol Bishnoi departed India under a false passport, journeying through various international locations before settling in the U.S., where his detention in November 2024 triggered deportation proceedings. The NIA has placed Bishnoi on its most-wanted list, offering a substantial reward for information leading to his apprehension. He is implicated in over 18 criminal cases in India, including charges related to the conspiracy to murder Baba Siddique and the coordinated killing of Punjabi artist Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022. Furthermore, he is suspected of involvement in the recent firing incident outside Salman Khan’s Mumbai home, an act attributed to the extended Bishnoi criminal syndicate.
