In a heart-wrenching incident in Sydney, a pregnant woman of Indian heritage and her unborn baby have tragically died following a severe car accident. The victim, 33-year-old Samanvitha Dhareshwar, was on a walk with her husband and young son in Hornsby on Friday when the collision took place. She was reportedly eight months pregnant. According to police statements, the family was navigating a footpath when a Kia Carnival stopped to let them pass. At that precise moment, a BMW sedan, identified as being driven by a 19-year-old named Aaron Papazoglu, rear-ended the Kia. The force of this impact pushed the Kia into Ms. Dhareshwar, causing life-threatening injuries. Emergency services responded swiftly, offering critical care on-site before she was rushed to Westmead Hospital. Tragically, medical efforts were unsuccessful in saving either Samanvitha or her child. Ms. Dhareshwar, an IT professional, was anticipating the birth of her second child very soon. The teenager allegedly driving the BMW has been charged with offenses including dangerous driving causing death and causing the loss of a foetus, reflecting the profound impact of the incident. Police are continuing their thorough investigation.
