The spirit of nationalism echoed in Ranchi as the Punjabi Hindu Biradari marked the 97th death anniversary of Lala Lajpat Rai, the valiant leader known as ‘Punjab Kesari’. A solemn tribute ceremony took place at the Lala Lajpat Rai Chowk on Mahatma Gandhi Marg. Community members gathered to pay homage to the freedom fighter, adorning his statue with garlands and flowers. Arun Chawla addressed the attendees, recounting the remarkable life, patriotic fervor, and profound sacrifices of Lala Lajpat Rai. He urged everyone to follow the path laid out by the national hero and administered an oath to do so. The gathering resonated with powerful slogans such as ‘Lala Lajpat Rai Amar Rahein’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, reflecting the enduring legacy of the leader. The event was attended by key figures of the Biradari, including President Sudhir Uggal, Rajesh Mehra, Mukul Taneja, Rajesh Khanna, Arun Chawla, Ravi Parashar, Rahul Seth, and Harjit Jaggi, all united in their remembrance.
