A state-level ceremony was organized today at Morabadi Maidan, Ranchi, on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda and the 25th anniversary of the formation of Jharkhand state. On this occasion, Governor Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar was present as the chief guest, while Chief Minister Hemant Soren presided over the program. In his address, he said that today’s day holds great significance for all of us. This is a day of pride for all of us. On one hand, we are celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, and on the other hand, it is the silver jubilee celebration of the formation of Jharkhand state. On this occasion, I bow to all the immortal brave heroes and heroines and those ancestors who sacrificed their lives for this state. Our government is committed to building the Jharkhand of the dreams of these brave martyrs and ancestors.
… Then Dishom Guru Shibu Soren would also have been on this stage
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand State Foundation Day is being celebrated with great enthusiasm today. However, this time my heart is a little heavy. Because, Dishom Guru Shibu Soren ji is no longer among us. If he were alive today, the dignity of this stage would have increased even more. Late Shibu Soren ji was the creator and pioneer of a separate state. He was our guide. He was the identity of tribals, indigenous people, and every Jharkhandi. His struggles and contributions can never be forgotten.
It is the result of the struggles of our ancestors that today every Jharkhandi stands tall
The Chief Minister said that this state has given birth to many brave sons like Dharti Baba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Sidhu Kanhu, Nilamber-Pitamber, and Tana Bhagat. They sacrificed their lives for this country and state. Our ancestors fought for justice and against exploitation, for the protection of water, forest, and land, and for their heritage and a separate state through long struggles. Because of these brave martyrs and ancestors, we got a separate identity. It is the result of their sacrifice and dedication that today every Jharkhandi, indigenous person, and tribal stands tall and can proudly say – We are Jharkhandis.
Tribals are the indigenous people of this country, the first inhabitants
The Chief Minister said that our tribal and indigenous people had sacrificed everything for the sake of water, forest, and land. Tribals are the indigenous people of this country… the first inhabitants. Today, we have to preserve and enrich our traditions and cultural heritage. We have to establish it on the world stage. For this, everyone has to move forward together.
To build a developed country, we need to build a developed state and developed villages.
The Chief Minister said that a developed country can only be formed when the state is developed, and the state can only be developed when our villages are developed. Keeping this in mind, our government is working with full strength to strengthen the villages. The prosperity of villages opens the path to the happiness and progress of the state and the country.
This state is rich in natural resources
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is a state rich in natural resources. Nature has given many things inside and on the surface of this state’s land. This state is known not only for its mineral resources but also for its distinct identity in many fields like tourism and sports. The hardworking labor force here is playing an important role in taking the country forward today. Recognizing these capabilities, our government is trying to create a path where future generations will have immense opportunities to move forward.
If India has an identity on the world stage, Jharkhand has a huge role in it
The Chief Minister said that if India has an identity on the world stage today, Jharkhand has a huge role in it. The factories across the country run on the mineral resources here. Trade is being promoted. This state has provided the country with labor force along with mineral resources, due to which the country is moving forward on the path of development.
Jharkhand is changing rapidly
The Chief Minister said that a lot has changed in this state in the last 25 years. The state is now changing even faster. Efforts are being made to remove the obstacles that were hindering the state’s progress. I can say that today Jharkhand is ready to walk shoulder-to-shoulder with the leading states of the country.
Empowering women
The Chief Minister said that our government has taken decisive steps to empower half the population. The impact of the Mukhyamantri Mahiya Samman Yojana is clearly visible. This scheme, initiated by our government today, has been adopted by many other states as well. The government is supporting women on all fronts to enable them to advance in every field.
New dimensions are being added
The Chief Minister said that our government is adding many new dimensions in all fields including education, health, sports, and tourism. He said that everyone has to fulfill their responsibilities to beautify and develop the state and for its all-round development. With everyone’s cooperation, we can make our Jharkhand a strong state.
We have to move forward keeping in mind the next 25 years
The Chief Minister said that today we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Jharkhand state, but we have to prepare to build Jharkhand by keeping the next 25 years in mind, while maintaining a balance with nature. We have to emerge from the suffering of poverty, exploitation, and atrocities that our ancestors endured and make ourselves so strong that we can empower ourselves and this state.
