New Delhi – Saturday was entirely dedicated to the Jharkhand Pavilion at the ongoing 44th Indian International Trade Fair in Pragati Maidan. A special ceremony was organized at the Jharkhand Pavilion to mark the completion of 25 years of Jharkhand statehood and the birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Lord Birsa Munda, which the audience thoroughly enjoyed. Additionally, everyone at the office of the Local Commissioner, Jharkhand Bhawan, celebrated the statehood day by garlanding Lord Birsa Munda.

On this occasion, flowers were offered at the statue of Birsa Munda in the pavilion, and traditional Jharkhand dances were presented. It is noteworthy that Birsa Munda was a prominent tribal leader of the 19th century. He was born on November 15 in Khunti, Jharkhand. Under his leadership, the great Munda movement, ‘Ulgulan,’ was executed. In Jharkhand, Birsa Munda is worshipped as God. He also played a significant role in the Mundra rebellion to free the Munda people from the British.
Celebrating Jharkhand’s establishment at an international level fair in Delhi is a wonderful experience
On this occasion, Jharkhand’s Director of Industries, Mr. Vishal Sagar, said that today is a day of great pride for Jharkhand. Not only is it Birsa Munda’s जयंती today, but Jharkhand also came into existence as a new state on this very day in the year 2000. The celebration of Jharkhand state completing 25 years is being observed from the state to Delhi. We felt immense pride celebrating this happiness at the trade fair. Celebrating our joy at an international-level fair in Delhi is a wonderful experience.
