Excellent Sakhi Mandals and cadres were honored
Ranchi- On the occasion of Jharkhand’s Silver Jubilee, the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society, Rural Development Department, organized special programs simultaneously in over 21,000 Village Organizations (VOs) across the state. Rural women from Sakhi Mandals, along with local public representatives, enthusiastically participated in these events. Detailed discussions were held in all Village Organizations regarding the state’s progress, socio-economic changes, and the growing role of women’s leadership on Jharkhand’s Silver Jubilee.
Community discussions and future direction in Village Organizations:-
Community dialogues on food, nutrition, and health were held in the meetings, where Sakhi Mandals set development priorities for the next five years. The women resolved to ensure 100% repayment of Community Investment Fund (CIF) and bank loans, strengthen financial discipline, expand livelihood activities, and connect women-headed, single, and ultra-poor families with the Vulnerability Reduction Fund (VRF) and livelihood schemes. They also reiterated their commitment to abide by the affidavits related to gender-based violence, health, nutrition, and community strengthening.
Honoring of excellent Sakhi Mandals and cadres-
At the end of this statewide program organized in the Silver Jubilee year, the best Self-Help Groups (SHGs) that performed excellently and cadres who made significant contributions in various fields were honored.
This comprehensive initiative by JSLPS is not only a celebration of Jharkhand’s 25-year development journey but also a concrete step towards a stronger, inclusive, and community-centric development model in the coming years.
