In a significant tribute to military valor, a special ‘My Stamp’ has been released to honor the soldiers who fought valiantly in the Battle of Rezang La. The initiative, linked to the upcoming film ‘120 Bahadur,’ aims to immortalize the bravery of the 13th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment.
Actor Farhan Akhtar, who plays a pivotal role in the film, shared his pride in the initiative through his social media channels. He thanked Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for his presence at the inauguration, emphasizing the importance of such acknowledgments for the fallen heroes. The stamp, issued by the Indian Postal Service, serves as a lasting memorial to the battle.
The stamp was officially unveiled by Honourable Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh in New Delhi. The event was attended by Director General of Postal Services Shri Jitendra Gupta, film director Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai, and producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Amit Chandrra, and Arhan Bagati. This special postal issue celebrates the unwavering courage and sacrifice of the soldiers ahead of the 63rd anniversary of the historic Rezang La conflict.
Located in Ladakh’s Chushul, the Rezang La War Memorial is a solemn monument dedicated to the soldiers of the 13th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment. It commemorates their supreme sacrifice during the 1962 India-China war, a testament to their indomitable spirit and commitment to the nation.
‘120 Bahadur’ will bring this remarkable story to life, with Farhan Akhtar essaying the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. The film, produced by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios, is scheduled to hit cinemas on November 21, 2025, promising an immersive cinematic experience.
